JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com-Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika M. Nuh menyambut baik ajang penghargaan Bubu Awards V.06.

Menurutnya ajang tersebut menumbuhkan kreatifitas masyarakat pada dunia digital. Selain itu melalui kompetisi, masyarakat belajar untuk saling menghargai.

"Kalau kita tidak memberi penghargaan itu artinya kita belum bisa menghargai prestasi orang lain," ujarnya dalam sambutan pada malam penganugerahan Bubu Awards, yang digelar pada Jumat (31/7) malam di Assembly Hall Jakarta Convention Center. Selain itu Bubu Awards juga sejalan dengan program Depkominfo.

Bubu Awards adalah kompetisi digital tahunan. Tahun ini Bubu Awards diadakan untuk keenam kalinya. Tema yang diangkat "The Rise of Digital Era". Acara ini digelar karena semakin meningkatnya minat masyarakat pada digital dan online. Berbeda dengan Bubu Awards di tahun sebelumnya, karena tahun ini Bubu Awards mengadakan kompetisi digital marketing dan lomba menulis blog, di samping kompetisi web dan road show dari kampus ke kampus.

Dewan juri dalam Bubu Awards antara lain Hermawan Kartajaya (pakar marketing), Elisa Lumbanturuan (IT Director Garuda Airlines), Betty Alisjahbana (CEO QB), Anindya Bakrie (CEO Bakrie Brother) dan masih banyak lagi.
